Westin Homes’ houses include the latest developments in technology such as home control, which can give its customers the ability to turn on their houses’ lights when they are away.

Features such as energy-efficient windows and high-efficiency air conditioning and heating units save homeowners considerable amounts of money and help preserve the environment. “Although our attitude is extremely generous toward the features and special touches of your home, we remain conservative in our pricing structure to ensure that we provide affordable sophistication,” the company says.

Riverstone Community Opens

The Riverstone Community of Alden Springs – which was officially opened in January – is the newest Westin Homes community with a Sugar Land address. Riverstone Development currently is ranked in a national report by John Burns Real Estate Consulting as the No. 8 top masterplanned community in the United States.

Westin Homes reports that Riverstone enjoyed more than 30 percent higher sales last year than in 2012. The new Alden Springs community features home sites that are on average 65 feet wide and 150 feet long, which the company says is significantly larger than the norm. This will provide everyone with a “Texas-sized” rear yard, and because this section of the community is heavily wooded, many of the home sites will have hammock-sized trees. Additionally, Alden Springs is located across from The Club at Riverstone, a new 17-acre water park and recreation center that is scheduled to open this summer.

“We anticipate another successful year,” Riverstone General Manager Tom Wilcox said in a statement. “Every builder reported strong sales in all price points and housing styles. We are expecting another robust year in 2014.”
