Vintage Construction Group is bringing a little bit of New Orleans to northwest Louisiana. A full-service construction company and custom home builder, Vintage Construction has a unique property under development in Shreveport, La. From townhomes to large manor-style homes, the company specializes in custom homes, speculative homes, renovations and select commercial construction projects. Its Gates on Greenleaf Park townhomes in Provenance Development is one of the company’s crown jewels.

“It definitely stands out in our market,” says Justin Sevier, owner of Vintage Construction. “The homes have a very New Orleans feel to them. It’s traditional Acadian and French architecture with some flashes of modern. There are a lot of tall windows and doors, clean lines, lots of light, wooden floors, fireplaces and interior arches. It’s a unique design and set up.”

Designed by Baton Rouge-based Looney, Ricks and Kiss Architects, The Gates on Greenleaf Park townhomes feature high-end finishes and open and efficient floor plans. “We made use of every possible square foot,” Sevier adds. “Everything is well thought out. There’s no wasted space.”

French Influences

The townhomes feature high-end finishes like slate courtyards, copper gutters, handmade gas lights, quartz counter tops, handmade Italian porcelain tile, LED lighting, tankless water heaters and wood flooring. They have open floor plans with French doors and many have sweeping views of the nearby 2.5-acre Greenleaf Park.  Vintageinfobox

“It’s a spectacular view,” Sevier says. “That park is full of beautiful greenery and oak trees, some of which are more than 50 years old. Plus, each home has a private courtyard. So, you get privacy with lots of open air space.” The townhomes also feature large master suites and utility areas with ample storage and closet space. Exterior and interior finishes were selected by Jenny Johnston Interiors, a Shreveport-based interior design firm that specializes in customized space planning and custom designs.

In addition, the townhomes are a part of the Provenance neighborhood that is conveniently located near a variety of shops, restaurants, offices and protected natural areas. They are also only a few steps away from the Provenance pool, gym and clubhouse. “Provenance architectural requirements equate to very low maintenance,” Sevier says. “It’s efficient style living at its best.”

The townhome project broke ground about 18 months ago. Phase one, which consisted of seven units, was completed in June. Phase two, make up of another seven units, is scheduled to break ground in the fall. The entire development is targeted for completion by July 2019. The units range from $340,000 to $475,000 and between 1,700 to 2,300 square feet.

Team Approach

Roughly 95 percent of Vintage Construction’s business comes from in and around Shreveport and Bossier City, La. Since opening its doors in 2006, the company has built more than 220 homes in that area. No matter the project, the company takes a homeowner-first approach by keeping its clients informed and making sure they are comfortable and confident with the project.

Vintage2“We take a team approach to what we do,” Sevier says. “Everyone plays a vital role in the development and construction of a new home.” Collectively, the company’s team has more than 60 years of construction industry experience under its belt.

Vintage Construction’s mission is to develop homes and communities that uphold the values of home buyers and increase in value over time. It strives to build communities that complement their environment and fulfill the homeowner’s need for comforting, convenient and energy-efficient homes. The company works with its clients from the design phase to after move-in.

“Aside from the architect, we do the remaining management in-house,” Sevier says. “That gives us greater control. We don’t waste time. We move our projects along with the schedule and still produce a quality product.”

Before construction begins, home buyers are provided a detailed cost analysis, as well as a construction and selection schedule which serves as their road map for job progress. Vintage Construction uses Buildertrend, a cloud-based project management software that allows its clients to log in, check schedules, latest developments and to make payments.

In addition, once construction begins, the home buyer will find a Vintage Construction team member checking the job daily to ensure quality and timely completion.
